Background:
Opened in 1999, the Rick Wilcox Magic Theater features the magic and humor of illusionists Rick & Susan Wilcox. Located in the heart of the Wisconsin Dells theme park area, the couple provides high energy, Vegas Style magic and comedy shows with top flight production value.
Challenge:
The Box Office system was outdated, and in no way interfaced with their gift shop and concession sales. The computer network and stations were also out of date, requiring a complete replacement. To keep costs down, the computer replacement and network re-work were to be handled internally by the theater.
Solution:
The Rick Wilcox Magic Theater chose to implement Tick-It! Trak Pro from New Concepts Software, Inc, complete with the Retail Sales and Concessions sales modules. Combined with a merchant account through Mercury Payment Systems, checkouts were now lightning fast, and staff needed to learn only one POS System, as it handled tickets, gift shop and concessions. With a fair number of conference style telephone sessions with tech support at NCS, the folks at the theater had their network and POS system up and running in no time.
Next season, we hope to have the theater integrate on-line ticket sales, to further improve their customer experience.
